Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — July 2025:
Beneath the purple jacaranda trees of Abha, the "Victory 2-Ton Diesel" truck paused to catch its breath after conquering hundreds of kilometers of punishing mountain grades. Yet that tranquil scene was only one stop in a real endurance test that pushed the truck against the harshest challenges — from the heart of Riyadh to the highlands of Asir, then on to the shores of Khobar and Dammam — covering more than 3,000 kilometers while carrying a load beyond its rated capacity.
Coinciding with its celebration of the tenth anniversary of its partnership in the Kingdom under the slogan "Growth and Success," Victory Saudi announced the successful completion of an exceptional field endurance test drive of the "Victory 2-Ton Diesel." Over the journey, the truck covered more than 3,000 kilometers across some of the Kingdom's most varied and demanding roads, carrying an overload of 2.3 tons — 300 kilograms above its rated capacity — to measure its performance and reliability under extreme conditions and to provide tangible, real-world proof of its worthiness of the Saudi customer's trust.
The journey set off from the Victory showroom in Riyadh after the two trucks were loaded with cement bags to simulate real operation at maximum load. It headed south through Bisha toward the Asir highlands in Abha and Khamis Mushait and back, then east to Dammam and Al-Hofuf in the Eastern Province before returning to Riyadh — a route combining long highways, sharp mountain descents, hot weather, and changing altitudes, reflecting the demanding daily operation faced by businesses and hauliers.
The drive was carried out by a joint engineering team of Saudi and Chinese engineers. The vehicles were fitted with sensors to monitor performance and the temperatures of the engine and brakes under load. The results showed stable performance and efficient cooling and control on the descents, confirming the truck's readiness for demanding, continuous operation.
This journey is part of a series of initiatives launched by Victory Saudi to mark ten years in the Saudi market, reaffirming its commitment to delivering commercial mobility solutions that combine power, economy, and dependability in service of the Kingdom's businesses and individuals.
The data gathered from the sensors throughout the journey confirms that the drivetrain, cooling, and braking systems held steady under the overload and on the mountain grades — giving our customers added confidence in the vehicle and in our after-sales service.
